Spondylosis

Spondylosis (sometimes referred to as lumbar spondylosis) is a chronic pain condition treated at the Center for Pain Management. Spondylosis refers to osteoarthritis of the spine. Treatments for spondylosis can vary.

Spondylosis is the result of the aging process and accumulated wear and tear. It causes loss of mobility and may involve bone spur formation. Spondylosis usually causes centralized neck or low back pain but may cause radiating pain and neurological symptoms if bone spurs (osteophytes) compress nerve roots or the spinal cord.
